DOCUMENT SCANNING SERVICE
Data Binder provides a Document Scanning Service for hardcopy files, records, invoices etc, historical documents and more.
We use state of the art Scanners including the Canon DR 580C A3 colour Duplex scanner.
Our flat fee Service includes Document Preparation which is the removing of staples and paperclips and arranging the documents in order to speed up the scanning process.
Pickup and returning of documents or documents can be destroyed if requested. A pickup fee will apply for jobs outside of Melbourne.

The Document Scanning Service converts hardcopy documents to a Single or Multiple PDF files. The arranging of the PDF files will be dependant on the client’s needs; this is discussed before the scanning process.
The completed PDF will have Bookmarks which act as a link to a specific page or group of pages such as: A-B , Dates, Names, Location etc .
We are also able to supply your scanned documents as PDF/A files for archive purposes; this file format meets

We are also able to scan your documents to editable word docs. Many people try to download programs from the Internet that do this and they find that they dont work properly. We are able to scan your documents and import all the text and tables into a editable word doc.
Your documents will be transported and stored in archive boxes that do not allow any dust, moisture or pests to reach the paper
Our document & record boxes are heavy duty, ‘Type 4’, industry standard, 30 litres.
This is ideal for storing hardcopy folders, files, receipts, A4 size papers, publications, invoices, books, journals and more.

1 Archive box of scanned data is approximately 130 Megabytes.
1 Laser CD holds approximately 5 Archive boxes of Data.
1 DVD holds approximately 36 archive boxes of Data.
A PDF File is a file format designed to enable printing and viewing of documents with all their formatting (typefaces, images, layout, etc.) appearing the same regardless of what operating system is used. A PDF document should look the same on Windows, Macintosh, Linux, etc. ...
Our scanner operators wear cotton gloves when handling documents, the documents are kept away from dust and transported safely. The scanned images are stored on a Hard Drive that is NOT networked and cannot be accessed by anyone who is not authorised to do so.
